DPF a growing problem

DPF systems seem to be gathering pace in the problem list. The Zafira B Z19DT is one such call we deal with regularly.

On investigation of the fault codes the DPF pressure sensor seems to be at fault, but the rubber pipes located near the DPF may have melted through.

And codes for glow plug circuit or glow device present also may have a bearing on the DPF performance, as well as cooling fan faults. All these need to be sorted before the DPF will return to normal operation of passive regeneration during the drive cycle.
